Here in Colmar we couldn’t help but doing the circle through the old centre again: the painted Pfister house, the Dominican church, the Haus of heads, little Venice and the many places with sculptures of the great Bartholdi. You might remember from our last time in Colmar two years ago that he is the artist who created the Statue of Liberty in New York.
This time we managed to visit the Bartholdi Museum. It houses many plaster casts and miniature models of Bartholdi's most famous sculptures.
A whole floor of the house is dedicated to drawings, models and memoranda of the creation of the ”Liberté Éclairant Le Monde”, the Statue of Liberty.
Yes there are houses …………... and houses
Swans ………… and swans
Canals…………. and canals
Sculptures………… and "sort of sculptures"
New explorers…………… and old ones
No finger pointing, please,
Christopher!!!
All that and more in Colmar!
